What We Do

Youth Enrichment Services (YES!) is a non-profit corporation that provides the community with affordable and accessible programs that will expose children to variety of enrichment services that stretch beyond academics. YES! is a mobile enrichment program. We currently have activities including creative movement, hip-hop dance, ballet dance, cheer dance, acting, voice, songwriting, sports, kid fitness and MORE.

Youth Enrichment Services primary mission is to improve the education of youth by providing quality enrichment programs that allow the exposure to the arts , fitness and wellness activities.

YES! provides community based programs in day care centers, churches, recreational centers, after school programs, schools and school districts with a unique educational experience for their students. We offer several programs in the area of DANCE, PERFORMING ARTS, SPORTS & FITNESS.

YES! Performing Arts Program provides mobile enrichment outreach in the form of workshops, in-house field trips and classes throughout the metro-Atlanta community, exposing youths to the arts, specifically dance, acting and music.

Our Team

Samara Michelle

Executive Director

Samara Michelle founded Journey Performing Arts Center in 2004 to provide quality dance instruction in the heart of Atlanta. A native of Detroit, she studied and performed varied dance forms such as ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop.

Brendan Gill

Operations Manager

Musician and operations manager are just some of the many hats that Brendan juggles. With his versatile skill set Brendan brings creative solutions to every project that he is involved with. Originally from Baltimore, Brendan first began his music education at institutions such as the Maryland State Boychoir and the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Jessica Washington

Community Engagement Specialist

Jessica Washington was born in Petersburg VA and graduated from Virginia State University with her degree in Mass Communications and a minor in English. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and began teaching dance at age 15. She migrated to Atlanta, GA in 2014 to pursue a professional career in dance and acting.

Rhea Dawkins is a dynamic marketing professional, creative, and producer with over a decade of experience spanning corporate marketing, live production, and community engagement. Kylah Searcy

DANCE COMPANY DIRECTOR

Kylah Searcy is an accomplished dancer, choreographer, and educator who has been passionate about dance since the age of three. Her foundation was shaped by years of elite competitive training at the renowned Dance 411 Studios, where she later returned as both an instructor and choreographer.

AFTER SCHOOL SITE DIRECTOR

Sharonda Estell

Instructional Lead

A heart for serving children and families and a passion to walk in the will of Christ led Sharonda from her hometown of Detroit, MI, to Atlanta, GA. She has committed herself to the call and field of Education for almost 2 decades.

Detroit Instructional Lead

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Star has been dancing since the age of 3. Specializing in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance and winning numerous awards for her accomplishments. Hip Hop is a natural talent.
